We won MacGeneration Trophy 2007 !!
Great day for OpenOffice.org :-)
Two days ago, when I received the mail, I firstly was surprised to learn OpenOffice.org was nominated at MacGeneration Trophy 2007.
To be honest, until I read
the list, I thought Christophe was kidding.
...
(some silence )
... and the result is:
OpenOffice.org has been choosen as the best open source software, by the users, and won the MacGeneration Trophy 2007 ! Some photos, with
Manuel Naudin, our OpenOffice.org expert, who helps us during Apple Expo.
Many thanks to the users, who voted for us, and
MacGeneration who organized the Trophy.

Apple Expo Paris tomorrow :)
Don't forget Mac OS X port continues to need developers with C++ and Cocoa skills.

MacGeneration yesterday :)
OpenOffice.org is nominated for the MacGeneration Trophy 2007 That's great from "macge" to recognize all the work we are doing, even if the port is not finished (we do the max).

Back from OOoCon Barcelona
Just back at home one hour ago. The OOoCon2007 were short for me ( I'm working tomorrow), but great !
Very glad to have meet for true a lot of people I only knew the IRC nickname, or the name in a lot of emails :)
Glad too, to have made a wild debug party between two confs with Herbert Duerr: even if the real cause of the crash is not known, we finally have a hack fixing the crash :-)
The only regret I have was to miss Michael presentation, about debug using Emacs. :-/
Last but not least, I won't miss to thanks Jesus Corrius and the Catalan Team for everything: the place, the organisation, the rooms, the parties, the public .. everything was great !!See you soon !!

What is sheduled today in OpenOffice.org project life?
Sh.. I again forgot to attend RE meeting yesterday :-/
I think I'll still miss one or two RE IRC meetings before I'll remember the day/hour.
Would be great to
have a "living" link , able to display
"what is sheduled tomorrow in OpenOffice.org project**", and/or
"what is sheduled next week", including , the main events or meetings planned in OpenOffice.org project ...?
Means everything appears when you hit it with the mouse cursor ( please no CTRL-Click ;-) )
Planet is probably the best place. No ?

Mac port at OOoCon2007
The
OOoCon2007 is a great event in the year, and Mac porters have a lot to say, included work together, like they do in Mac porters meetings ( Hamburg 2006 and 2007).
The idea is to organize a workshops session on wednesday evening (to avoid interferences with "official" confs). The current program is just a draft, and can be modified.
... a bit like in the French "Festival d'Avignon" , where we have the "Off" and the "In" festivals :)

OOoCon 2007 (Barcelona)
