French engineering schools, documentation and Mac OS X port

Three new developers joined the Mac OS X port of OpenOffice.org recently, and we are proud to receive them.

Yvan Barthélemy is student at IFIPS Paris-Sud ,
Damien Duportal and Ismael Merzaq are both from INSA Lyon.

Yvan is already working on the native printing implementation ( see Wiki Aqua printing ) , while Damien and Ismael are willing to help for code writing too. First step for them is build test and probably debug Aqua version.

This is always a pleasure to welcome new people, curious, asking a lot of questions, and interested in the project.

All are students, all have a Mac, and they often tell me they decided to join us for a simple reason: since we try to document everything, they can understand what they are doing. At least they are not completely lost.

Sure we can do great things for OpenOffice.org project with (future) engineers, but I wonder why people are still writing code without document it seriously ...

Other students, I want to thank too are Simon Lopez, Manuel Vonthron, Jean-Elie Le Corre and Alexandre Mohr, from UTBM . They did a great work at OOoCon2006.

Last, many thanks to Pascal Garcia helping me to provide working Aqua version for external testers :-)
